and the word was good. It’s time. Time to begin a blog. I’ve been piece-ing it out for years, on Myspace, Facebook, now Tumblr, and blip.fm…not to mention my own website, on-line reviews, but this is going to be the place to get it all out. Art, music, politics, film, fashion, people, relationships.
For those of you new to me, I am a former business owner, a video dating service. A business I ran for 5 years in the early 90’s. Then, there were the radio years. Fifteen years of Omaha radio. Infotainment, music, fun. Since 2005 I’ve been in audio recording, marketing, sales, management, booking, publicity, and most recently, graphic design. It is a luxury to do what you love.
First love, music. There’s so much out there worth talking and writing about. So much out there that goes unheralded. On the other hand, there’s much attention going places it probably doesn’t deserve to go. Isn’t that always the way it is? Everyone scratches their heads and says ‘Who did they blow?” I never begrudge anything to anybody, and believe that with work and tenacity, every dog gets his day. But a super popular three legged, flea bitten dog is a dog worth a little closer examination.
